Daniel O'Hara is a partner at McLoughlin O’Hara, LLP, which he co-founded. Dan is an experienced trial attorney and problem solver, specializing in litigation and real estate transactional work. Dan actively practices in Federal and State Courts sitting in both New York and New Jersey, and he is a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Real Property Law Committee.
Dan started his legal career on Wall Street with Brunelle & Hadjikow, P.C. assisting partners in preparing for FINRA arbitrations. Subsequently, Dan signed-on as a Junior Associate with a real estate litigation and transactional practice headed by attorney, Jamie Heiberger, Esq. While at Heiberger, Dan represented institutional investors and major New York City managing agents advising and litigating to protect and advance their real estate asset value.
In 2011, Dan then took on a position as trial counsel to the full service, midtown litigation and entertainment Law Firm of Jekielek & Janis, LLP. While counsel to Jekielek & Janis, LLP, Dan helped formulate litigation strategy for the firm’s corporate and small business clients; handled the firm’s real estate transactions and disputes; and worked closely with one of the named partners, Jon Jekielek, Esq., in representing clients on complex entertainment contract and intellectual property matters.
Before co-founding McLoughlin O’Hara, LLP, Dan, year after year, has built his book of business and a successful law practice on a cornerstone of integrity. Dan’s daily focus is on building and maintaining a clean, efficient business model centered on client success and earning the respect of his counterparts, adversaries, and the Judiciary.
Dan’s active caseload involves a portion of business geared towards those less fortunate. Dan believes the legal profession requires more from an attorney than pure legal expertise at market rates; it requires sensitivity, sympathy, and perspective. Dan knows and loves this about the practice of law, and strives every day to add more value to a given client’s situation than the average attorney.

IT IS RARE!
It is rare that you find a lawyer that is both competent and who actually cares about your case. Daniel O'Hara has both of those qualities. I am a client of Mr. O'Hara's in two ongoing landlord/tenant cases. In the first case, he has proven to be a smart and aggressive attorney. In the second case, w...
"Dan is a fierce competitor. He uses that to drive him in his legal practice. He is one of the new breed of lawyers that is not only competent but courteous. His clients love him and other lawyers fear/respect him."
"I’ve worked with Mr. O’Hara on many projects and have always been impressed by his legal knowledge and professionalism; his sincere desire to give clients the best service; and his ability to get things done without delay. He is a responsive, highly skilled, and reliable attorney. I highly recommend Mr. O’Hara."
