Reported cases and description of cases
N/AOUTCOME:
Many cases I handle result in a settlement that the opposing side wishes to keep confidential, so there are many matters that I cannot list or describe. I often represent small and mid-sized compan ... ies in "bet the company" cases. I recently defended a web-based retailer in a trade secret and copyright infringement action in which I obtained a summary judgment ruling in its favor as well as an award of nearly $1 million in attorneys' fees. I also recently litigated an insurance bad-faith case on behalf of a business that suffered a multi-million dollar loss that its insurance company refused to cover. Following jury selection, that case resulted in a confidential settlement. Some reported cases I handled include: U.S. Auto Parts Network v. Parts Geek, 692 F.3d 1009 (9th Cir. 2012); Kingray v. National Basketball Association, 188 F. Supp.2d 1177 (S.D. Cal. 2002); Lectrodryer v. SeoulBank, 91 Cal. Rptr. 2d 881 (2d Dist. 2000).
