Jessie Gabriel crafts smart, effective business solutions for her clients, which include private investment funds, public issuers, boards of directors, C-level executives, and entrepreneurs. She also reduces regulatory and litigation exposure through well-crafted compliance programs, investor agreements, insurance policies and corporate documents. Drawing from her previous career in economics, she demands strong project management and efficient, cost-effective utilization of resources in all her matters. Jessie is a frequent commentator on issues impacting private equity, hedge funds, and venture funds, as well as corporate boards. She leads the firm's Investment Funds team.
Jessie devotes much of her practice to supporting diverse asset managers. She works with women-led investment firms from pre-launch to deployment, helping to ensure they are structured and governed to position them for success in fundraising and capital allocation. She also founded More Women More Money, an organization committed to driving more capital to female money managers. In her position as General Counsel of the New America Alliance, Jessie utilizes all aspects of her practice to support the Latino asset management community. Jessie formerly chaired the Women’s Committee for the New York office and is Chair of the Board of Directors of New Destiny Housing, a nonprofit organization that develops housing for families victimized by domestic violence.
