Incompetent and greedy

I spent 15 years working for a prestigious art studio, alongside being recognized as the highest-paid living artist globally. When the studio enlisted Kevin Dyer to handle my Green Card application, I anticipated a seamless process. However, my experience was marred by numerous disappointments. Ov...er the span of two years, Kevin worked on my case. Unfortunately, several months before our scheduled interview, a significant portion of my colleagues were laid off, altering the dynamics of my employment. Regrettably, due to the manner in which my green card application was submitted, I found myself constrained in pursuing new job opportunities. Following a year of unemployment, during which Kevin had already been compensated in full for his services, I secured a new position and requested his continued representation. Shockingly, despite having been paid for the entire green card process, including the interview, Kevin demanded an additional $1000 to attend the interview. When I confronted him about this, highlighting my financial struggles after a year of unemployment, Kevin remained unmoved. While it may have been within his rights to request additional fees, the ethical implications of his actions were deeply unsettling. Prior to the interview, Kevin provided a mere 30-minute briefing, disregarding my request for an in-person meeting as unnecessary. At the interview itself, Kevin arrived with minimal documentation, in stark contrast to the preparedness of other attorneys present. During the interview, it became evident that Kevin had advised me incorrectly regarding which documents to present as originals and which to provide as photocopies, much to the interviewer's dissatisfaction. Additionally, Kevin overlooked declaring my past service as an NYPD Auxiliary Police Officer, further complicating the application process. Despite ultimately securing my green card, the entire ordeal was a nightmare characterized by unprofessionalism, greed, and a blatant lack of empathy. Having worked with numerous immigration lawyers throughout my time in the US, I have never encountered such disregard for professionalism and client care. For those seeking immigration assistance in New York City, I strongly advise steering clear of Kevin Dyer and his firm. There are countless other talented and dedicated immigration lawyers who will prioritize your case with the professionalism and respect it deserves.

Caution: Kevin Dyer has disciplinary history

https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/attorneyservices/search? The firm talked to journalism school students, appeared to appreciate their work and offered free consultation, but I learned that there was no free lunch. In contrast to what Kevin said during the public talk, he was disinterested in my... case from the beginning of our 1-on-1 consultation and told me I didn’t have a file-able case. The consultation left me in shock. Until then, I checked his disciplinary record and found that he was publicly censured before. I filed my case with the help of a different law firm & attorney, and it was approved less than two weeks after I filed it. Lessons learned: There’s no free lunch. Don’t get tricked by a free consultation. An attorney can behave very differently in public and in private. Always check lawyers’ disciplinary history before you hire them. And stay away from Kevin Dyer.

I will always be greatful to this wonderful lawyer

Kevin processed my H1-B visa and he was always responsive to all my questions and calls. No matter how difficult my case was he always gave me hope and support and found a solution to my particular case. He is a wonderful lawyer and on top of that he is a wonderful human being. Not all the attorneys... in New York take the time to support their clients with a possitive attitude and good disposition. If I´d have to choose a lawyer I will go to him with my eyes close. Thank you Kevin for helping me out against all odds!..
