In this case, the trial judge, Hon. Susan Brown, refused to give an accomplice witness instruction concerning one witness, Benjamin Morales. The case went to the 14th Court of Appeals, where we lost ... . We then went to the Court of Criminal Appeals, where we won, because the Court of Appeals applied the wrong standards. In the end, the Court of Appeals had to rule unanimously in our favor, and Mr. Zamora was sent back for a new trial.
