On January 6, 2003 Plaintiff, a Union Laborer, fell from a sidewalk bridge while clearing debris and landed on a second lower sidewalk bridge some 8-10 feet below. As a result Plaintiff sustained inju ... ries to his back, neck, head and shoulder. Plaintiff was removed from the scene by ambulance to St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital and after discharge from the emergency room continued to treat with private physicians. Plaintiff was ultimately diagnosed with failed back syndrome, among other conditions, and require two back surgeries, the last being a fusion of his L3-4 and L4-5 vertebraes.
