Edward Seth Goodman

Edward S. Goodman (Ted) joined Simonson Goodman Platzer PC, in 1994 after graduating from Hofstra Law School. Since joining Simonson Goodman Platzer PC, he worked consistently on personal injury and medical malpractice cases throughout New York and New Jersey. He has represented clients from as far south as Camden, New Jersey, and as far north as Buffalo, New York, and has achieved numerous million dollar verdicts on behalf of his clients. Ted had the third highest medical malpractice verdict in the entire State of New York in 2010. In addition, he has written and argued numerous appeals before the Appellate Division of the State of New York.

Ted’s contributions to Simonson Goodman Platzer PC's continued success were recognized in 2009, when he became a named partner in The Simonson Firm. His contributions to the legal profession have also been recognized by U.S. News and World Report. In 2013, he was named a “Best Lawyer in America – New York” in personal injury; representing the first time that a member of the firm has been so honored, and in 2011 and 2012, he was recognized as a “Super Lawyer.”

Outside of the courtroom, Ted is a past member of the Tort Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and has provided pro bono representation on behalf of victims applying to the September 11th Compensation Fund.  He has been on the Board of Directors of his village’s homeowner’s association for over a decade and also serves his community as the village prosecutor.
