Nathan Michael Alexander

Nathan M. Alexander is the Founder, Managing Member and Principal of Alexander Attorneys & Advisors, PLLC (the "firm"), overseeing all of the firm's legal and business practice areas, the firm's new business development, strategic planning and execution and overall company operations.

Prior to forming the firm, Mr. Alexander worked as In-House Counsel for Phoenix Realty Group LLC (PRG), a national private equity fund management firm specializing in urban and infill real estate investment and federal low income housing tax credit syndication. As one of only two practicing lawyers in the entire national organization and the only practicing attorney based in the company's New York City office at the time, Mr. Alexander worked with the Chief Legal Officer to closely advise department-heads from the Asset Management, Acquisitions, Capital Markets, Corporate Communications, Accounting and Investor Relations divisions, as well as PRG's Executive and Investment Committees, on a multitude of legal matters. Additionally, Mr. Alexander contributed significantly to the conceptualization and execution of the company's overall business and legal strategies. Since Mr. Alexander formed the firm, PRG and several of the funds under its management have been among the firm's corporate clients. 

Prior to his time at PRG, Mr. Alexander worked for the Moscow office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, a prominent international law firm based in New York City. There, he assisted his supervising attorneys in advising large scale Russian business concerns on matters ranging from taxation to mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Alexander has also served as an adjunct professor of law and business for the Paralegal and Business Management programs at a local college. In that capacity, he lectured on the subjects of Real Property Law, Contract Law, Paralegal Ethics and Business Management.

Mr. Alexander holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Theory and Economics, a Master of Business Administration in Finance with High Honors in Business Policy and Strategy as well as Corporate Strategy and Organization, a Master of Science in Taxation and a Juris Doctorate with an elective concentration in Business and Taxation Law. Mr. Alexander is admitted to practice law in New York State and the District of Columbia. He is a member of the New York County Lawyer's Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Mr. Alexander is also fluent in Russian.
