Matthew S. Hackell

Mr. Hackell is an experienced commercial litigator and arbitrator, and has represented and counseled domestic and international clients on a range of commercial disputes, in both international arbitration and litigation proceedings. He has represented parties in multimillion dollar disputes before arbitration tribunals operating under the auspices of the International Chamber of Commerce and AAA International Centre for Dispute Resolution. 

Mr. Hackell has also acted as counsel in transnational litigation in U.S. courts, including litigation involving foreign sovereign disputes, conflicts of laws, enforcement (and defense) of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, and insolvency. He has represented clients from, and worked on matters involving, a wide range of foreign jurisdictions, including Brazil, Germany, Ukraine, Liberia, Congo, and the Cayman Islands.
