Katherine Elynor Mateo

Katherine Mateo is an associate in the Litigation Group focusing on securities and commercial matters.

Kat’s practice focuses on securities litigation including shareholder derivative cases and corporate control litigation. She has significant experience in a broad range of matters, including business and corporate disputes, corporate investigations and criminal defense, bankruptcies, and corporate internal investigations.

Kat has assisted financial institutions and their executives in litigation and other regulatory matters, including in matters related to residential mortgage-backed securities. She has also assisted with a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) internal investigation for a multinational company and has assisted in defending individual and corporate defendants in major cross-border criminal investigations.

Prior to joining Olshan, Kat was a litigation associate at Morrison & Foerster.

Kat is fluent in Spanish.
