I am from out of state and had to retain a lawyer in NYC. Along with local counsel we carefully sifted through potential candidates and after some phone conversations decided to hire Michael. I could not be happier with the choice. Coming from the Midwest I was unused to Michael's NYC take charge ...attitude. He was able to consistently alleviate my concerns due to both his confidence and his knowledge of the law. I very much appreciated his candor and ability to quickly and efficiently answer my questions. My case was interesting. It began in family court and had a criminal component. I was essentially ambushed at the family court and arrested. Michael, without being paid at that point in time, worked all day to get me in front of the judge and out on bail. I of course then retained him to represent me in the criminal matter as well. When it was all said and done Michael won both of my cases for me. I could not be happier. During the nearly year long process he was consistently there to answer questions and to keep me at ease. I recommend Michael highly. I not only consider him a great attorney but also a friend.

Michael S. Discioarro is an excellent attorney. I was wrongfully arrested for an alleged DWI in NYC. I went to several other attorneys before finding Michael, not only did the other attorneys try to over charge me but wanted me to accept an unfavorable plea deal that would result in a criminal record... and significant fines. However, Michael believe in my innocence, was available at all times to answer my questions, and zealously fought to defend my rights and prove my innocents. In sum, against adverse odds, Michael was able to get the DWI misdemeanor charge alleged against me, reduced to a favorable simple traffic violation with no criminal record. Needless to say, I was very pleased with Michael's services. He was always there when I needed him, and he really cared; not just about winning, but about keeping my reputation clean by forcing everyone to see my innocents.

I have a DWI case in NYC. I've found Michael via search on the internet. I found him to be professional, trustworthy and simply honest. Although it was my first offence, I faced some serious penalties. Somehow he managed to get me off the hook with minimum penalties. I may call it a miracle, as I wa...s not even dreaming about such outcome. So, if you have similar problem call him, he's worth each penny you will spend! And you will have a real miracle maker on your side.

I hired this lawyer in a desperate situation regarding unjust ACS worker and complicated divorce. Mr. Discioarro responded fast but he did not solve my problem. He gave bad advice that further escalated the conflict. When the case went to the court, he let me organized my own evidence. With in 5 minu...tes of the 1st hearing, he got removed from the case by the judge. He is also financially questionable. He never sent me a retainer with detailed fee structures. He received my money then returned a receipt with lower amount. He requested much higher than peer/market separate "court fees" 1 minute before the court starts. Don't hire this lawyer if you have other options. I don't know if AVVO verifies the reviewer identity. I won't trust this lawyer's anonymous short 5 star reviews.

This man got me found on a case that got It's missed by criminal court and family court and I won my lawsuit. but in my hearing I told I Had people that was willing to testify for me did he interview anybody no. So I got found for something that I didn't do a lie.. Basically I was set up Oh he wo...rried about is money 10'000 is alot to pay someone for a family court that he new was getting dismiss anyway with out a lawyer now I have paid another lawyer for appeal.. He didn't do anything he didn't even defend me I defend myself He was not puppied. Don't pay him in full. but u will see he want his money asp n then u will see the real him.. im so piss n Wasted my money on a money hungry lawyer that didn't do anything
