Sophie Qianlu Wang

Sophie Q. Wang joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2025 and is an Associate with the firm’s Litigation Department.

Wang is a practicing attorney in New York with over a decade of experience, including more than eight years concentrating on complex commercial and real estate litigation. Her practice spans construction disputes, partnership and shareholder conflicts, investment matters, and general business litigation.

Wang represents owners, developers, contractors, and investors in lien foreclosure actions, trust fund diversion claims, breach of contract disputes, partnership litigation, and other commercial conflicts. She has extensive experience with mechanics lien law, trust fund claims, construction contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and litigation before both New York courts and the American Arbitration Association.

In addition to her litigation practice, Wang regularly drafts and negotiates a wide range of construction agreements, such as AIA contracts, construction management agreements, subcontractor agreements, and license agreements.

Prior to joining Rosenberg & Estis, Wang was a Partner with Muchmore & Hollander LLP, where she handled a wide range of construction and commercial disputes and frequently authored articles on topics within her areas of expertise.

Wang is fluent in English, Mandarin Chinese, and Shanghainese.

Miao v. E Home Real Estate LLC, Sup. Ct. Nassau Co. Index No. 604734/2018: Obtained multimillion dollar recovery for minority member of LLC; reinstated claims dismissed during prior representation.

USC-NYCON, LLC and Ferrara Bros., LLC v. Flintlock Construction & BMNY Construction, AAA Case No. Case No. 01-18-0003-7166: Recovered on multimillion dollar counterclaim following 15-day arbitration trial on behalf of superstructure subcontractor for high-rise hotel.

Bayport Construction and Canova, Inc. v. Cabgram Developer LLC, Sup. Ct. NY Co.162095/2019: Secured summary judgment on behalf of unpaid trade contractors at Gramercy Square construction project.

Waikeung Tsang, et al. v. 114-08 Taipei Inc., Sup. Ct. Queens Co. Index No. 710998/19: Obtained order of attachment and injunction on behalf of purchasers of pre-sold condominiums at Taipei Court; defeated motion to dismiss.

K-Land Lex 47th LLC v. Lex 47th Property Owner LLC, Sup. Ct. N.Y. Co. Index No. 652634/2021: Represented client in connection with recovery of $1.5m counterclaim for escrow in connection with $113m sale of Manhattan development parcel.

DIY Universal Entertainment Inc. v. The Point 128, LLC, Sup. Ct. Queens Co. 707155/2021: Obtained multi-year rent abatement for karaoke bar impacted by COVD pandemic and construction delays.
