My Legal Philosophy:
I am first and foremost a fighter. You are always weakest in a criminal case on the first day you are arrested, when the only side of the story being told is what the police have to say, and they almost always represent their case to be stronger than it really is. Taking the path of least resistance and negotiating at this point is almost always a mistake. Putting in the extra effort to do a thorough investigation and view all of the evidence the police have, and find the holes in their case, has resulted in superior outcomes for my firm. Fight first, negotiate later, if necessary.
