When I first phoned John he informed me that our situation sounded very difficult and sketchy. Three months later we had gotten exactly the deal we asked for from him. John was a pleasure to work with. Not only did he help us close our stalled sale, but he managed to work through a very complicated p...urchase arrangement related to and contingent upon that sale with grace and aplomb. John is excellent at explaining complex legal matter clearly and concisely, offering good advice, and protecting client's interests--all while moving things forward in a timely and responsible fashion. He was patient and clear in his expectations and adroit at handling the complicated negotiations. I wouldn't even consider looking for another attorney for any future deals.

We were referred to John by a friend, when we needed a lawyer to represent us and negotiate our lease for our new bar. There were multiple layers including, partnerships, loans and various LLC's because our landlord was also a partner in the business. This made it tricky with three different lawyers ...involved and quite a bit of back and forth. John was always available and extremely friendly. He even returned my call on Halloween while his children were waiting for him to take them trick or treating!! From our initial meeting, we felt like we were in good hands and he was nothing but understanding, supportive, efficient and professional. Most importantly, time and again, he would listen to our concerns and suggestions, but would only guide us toward making decisions that were in our best interest and in the best interest of our business. I would highly recommend working with John and I look forward to the next time we need his services.

John recused himself of the basic responsibilities of a real estate lawyer: to conduct due diligence and to advocate on his clients' behalf. When we encountered problems with our contract, instead of trying to fully understand the situation and then advocate on our behalf, he accused us of acting... in bad faith and presented ZERO ideas or strategy for us to navigate the situation. I found myself in the position of doing my own research, presenting him with strategies, and then asking them to rehearse them with me over the phone so that he would come off as lawyerly and confident. Overall, this was a nightmare to have a lawyer with zero lawyerly instincts or responsibilities. He created an incredible amount of stress for my family and we had to fire him. Our new lawyer very gracefully handled our situation with ease and pleasure. John fought us at every step. Avoid his services at all costs.
