She currently serves as Director of the Immigration Law Project of Safe Horizon, the country's leading victim assistance organization. She is also an adjunct assistant professor of Immigration Law at CUNY School of Professional Studies and CUNY Hunter College. She regularly conducts community and media outreach, speaking and writing about immigration law, policy and trends to raise public awareness. She has been published in Forbes, the New York Law Journal, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, among others. An active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), she lobbied with AILA on Capitol Hill for immigration reform in 2012, 2013 and 2017, educating members of Congress and their staff on the current issues with our immigration system.

MS. Chan is intelligent, persistent and was very patient with my friend who is also a "battered wife " she sent hours and e-mails and phone calls to follow up with us and all the required references. I highly recommend her to everyone I know
"I wholeheartedly endorse Ms. Chan. She is extremely conscientious, knows the ins and outs of immigration law, and works diligently to obtain the best results for her clients. In the case we worked on together, her strategic planning resulted in our client's expeditious release from custody."
"Evangeline M. Chan was recently a guest on my weekly radio show, "Law You Should Know" to discuss the many types of non-immigrant visas. In interviewing her for the show I found her not only extremely knowledgeable but able to communicate complex information in a manner her clients can understand. I know from interviewing hundreds of lawyers that few attorneys are able to do this."
"I endorse this lawyer. Evangeline is one of the most detail oriented and through lawyers in the profession. She gives every case more than her 100% and will find legal solutions that are best suited for her clients' needs. I would most definitely recommend her to clients seeking immigration assistance."
"As a former Assistant Chief Counsel for the Department Of Homeland Security I have had the privaledge to watch Attorney Chan practice immigration law for several years. Attorney Chan is knoweldgable and very professional. She has an excellent relationship with her clients. I endorse this lawyer."
