Great lawyer

We hired Evangeline to get a Greencard for me. We were happy that we choose Evangeline, because she was very positive and gave us hope that everything will go smoothly. She is very well organized and the whole process went fast and without any problems. We highly recommend to hire Evangeline as a law...yer for any immigration topics.

Always believed in us!!!

Evangeline Chan is an exceptional attorney. My husband and I went to her to help my husband get his green card. After a couple denials, Evangeline never gave up and used everything she knew to get our dream to happen and today my husband has his green card and we are so grateful to her.

Got my Q1 visa!!

I want to appreciate Evangeline for helping me apply for the Q1 visa to teach at a private secondary school. She made herself very accessible through emails and was very patient to answer all my questions. I would recommend Evangeline to anyone I know who need a professional immigrant lawyer!

Excellent Business Contract / Operating Agreement Revision Service

In July of 2014, I found myself in need of sound legal advice regarding the sale of my partnership share in a small business I owned. I had begun an event catering business in the city of New York with one other partner, and over the years I invested much time and energy into building a client base a...nd profile for our company as well as planning for and executing various events. When I decided to transition to Los Angeles in pursuit of other career aspirations, but with the intention of also bringing our event business in some capacity, my partner had misgivings. My partner in our established LLC did not wish for me to retain any share of our business in New York, as partner or investor, once I moved. Furthermore, my partner had misgivings about allowing me to utilize any iteration of the name of our established business when opening shop in Los Angeles. I had issue with this because, as I was leaving within the first five years of our LLC's operation, much of my work for the company had not yet produced monetary reward. I believed that the seeds I had sown for our business would only begin to bear fruit in my absence, and I wanted very much for my initial investment of unpaid time and energy to be rewarded. Over the course of negotiations, Evangeline Chan offered sage advice about diminishing my partnership sale vs. selling my share outright and how to do so in the best possible way to protect my investments. Ms. Chan also advised me regarding the legal ramifications of utilizing an iteration of our existing LLC's name in Los Angeles, and she advised me regarding how to trade off the business I had established in New York when seeking clients in Los Angeles. Without Ms. Chan's thorough and compassionate attention, I would not have known to ask the right questions or to frame the sale in a way that would have been as beneficial to me in the long run. Ms. Chan, in an efficient and reasonable way, helped me to negotiate the buyout of my partnership with the provision that I would be free to do business as I saw fit in Los Angeles, independent of my New York LLC, but while trading off the work I had generated for the New York business. Ms. Chan was a delight to work with. She was punctual, responsive, insightful and efficient, and I would highly recommend her service to anyone in need of legal counsel.

"Evangeline M. Chan was recently a guest on my weekly radio show, "Law You Should Know" to discuss the many types of non-immigrant visas. In interviewing her for the show I found her not only extremely knowledgeable but able to communicate complex information in a manner her clients can understand. I know from interviewing hundreds of lawyers that few attorneys are able to do this."
