Bradley Forrest Silverman

Brad Silverman is a highly regarded commercial litigator.  In the course of his practice, he represents individuals and public and private companies in courts throughout the country.  Mr. Silverman has extensive experience with numerous types of business and commercial disputes.  These include contract disputes; disputes relating to the management and control of partnerships and closely held corporations; employment matters; intellectual property and trade secret disputes; class actions; RICO Act claims; antitrust and unfair competition matters; commercial landlord-tenant matters; internal corporate investigations; and challenges to local and state laws and regulations because they are either unconstitutional or preempted by federal law.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Silverman practiced at several of the leading litigation firms in New York City, including the international law firm of Kaye Scholer LLP. He received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Brandeis University. He received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School where he served as a member of the Moot Court Board and as Senior Editor of the Journal of International Economic Law. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he and his family now reside in Westchester County.

Representative matters:

Represented a Fortune 500 company in a cross-border contract dispute with a consortium of sixteen international banks relating to a major construction project in Spain.

Represented the former president of the U.S. branch of a European bank in an arbitration regarding millions of dollars owed under his employment agreement.

With only hours to do so, obtained an emergency stay of execution of a judgment against a client from the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Represented the founder of one of the largest electronic trading platforms in the United States in disputes with his partners regarding control of the company.
