Chandra Ann Whalen

C. Ann Whalen, Esq. has been appointed to the position of Corporate Lawyer & Director of International Business Development at Al-Kathiri & Associates in Muscat, Oman. Ann is originally from New York City and is admitted to practice in the State of New York. She brings with her close to a decade of experience in the legal field, where she worked on Litigation and Corporate matters, advising Saudi companies on acquiring American businesses. In Oman, she looks forward to advising private and public companies, especially on Corporate Governance. She will also advise companies on how to enter the Omani market and how they can take advantage of free zones and the U.S.-Oman Free Trade Agreement. Ann was a 2016-2017 recipient of the prestigious Fulbright and Boren Fellowships to study Islamic Banking and continues her Arabic studies in Oman. She is conversationally fluent in Arabic as well as reads and writes in it. Currently, she is working on becoming technically fluent in the language.
