Peter Sverd

An experienced  commerical, business, and real property litigator, I use litigation as a means to meet the goals and objectives of my clients- the "litigation" is not the end onto itself. I take a very pragmatic and pointed approach to litigation. I learn the objectives and goals of my client at the onset of the representation, and then  use all of the tools in my litigation arsenal to get results. Because I take the time to learn and understand the individual needs of the people, businesses, and companies that I represent, I take the most direct paths in the litigation to achieve our objectives. Mr. Sverd was admitted to the New York Bar in 2003, and is admitted to both the Eastern and Southern Districts of the United States Federal District Courts. Mr. Sverd has litigated extensively for individual and corporate clients in the areas of contract disputes, corporate dissolution and partnership disputes,co-op and real property litigation, including actions to quiet title, partitions, breach of fiduciary duty, and collection matters. Mr. Sverd also devotes his practice to landlord-tenant matters, which include commercial and residential disputes arising out of actual evictions, non-payment proceedings, succession rights and primary residence cases.
