Unless you are trying to rehabilitate yourself, a regular parent in good standing taking parenting classes in most cases is a waste of time.

You can always file a petition, but the likelihood is slim the costs in dollars high, and length is lengthy as well.

As long as you meet the residency requirements, and its on consent and the papers conform to DRL you should be fine.
