Allison N. Grosz is a Partner with Hemrick O’Malley PLLC, focusing her practice on federal civil and administrative immigration law: deportation defense, business immigration, family immigration, humanitarian-based visa petitions and applications, and consular processing. Strategic and detail-oriented, Allison brings a diplomatic touch to her practice while managing a high-volume caseload. She is a highly skilled attorney with more than a decade of experience in immigration law and international understanding. Allison’s passion for practicing immigration law is founded in her passion for helping refugees and immigrants who often do not have a voice but has expanded to working with all people in the immigrant community to realize their goals in the United States.
From a young age, Allison knew she wanted to work in the legal field. Her volunteer work at a refugee community in Atlanta inspired her to pursue a law career focused on helping refugees and immigrants. During law school, she worked in public international law, researching international legal policy submissions to multinational organizations, such as the United Nations and European Union, and also volunteered with a nonprofit in Thailand. These experiences honed her passion to work directly with individuals needing legal assistance with immigration and refugee matters.
Allison began her immigration law career as an intern, working with the Law Offices of Jason Giannetti in Massachusetts on pro bono immigration, asylum, and Violence Against Women Act cases. After passing the bar examination, Allison continued to work with the Law Offices of Jason Giannetti on deportation defense, family immigration, humanitarian-based visa petitions and application matters. Upon moving to New York, Allison joined the firm of Bibicheff & Associates, P.C., where she progressed to Managing Associate Attorney, with her work focused on all areas of immigration law, overseeing all cases from initiation to final resolution. In this role, Allison also engaged in client intake, contract negotiation, case strategy and presentation, and litigation, including strategy negotiation with U.S. Government agencies and offices. She was also responsible for firm and commercial business in-house representation in business development processes and mediation, arbitration and contract negotiation, as well as onboarding and mentoring associate attorneys and support staff.
