I disagree. You should only travel on Advance Parole when your I485 is pending and not H1B.

The exemption lasts for six years form the day the employer's I-129 is approved as subject to CAP.

I actually agree. If you changed your status to H1 and never worked for the employer after the change was approved, you are out of status.
