You should probably start an LLC just to protect yourself. It has the tax benefits of a partnership with the protection of a corporation.
Do I need an LLC to start a tutoring company or is a partnership ok? Is it better to start without an LLC?

I don't think anyone uses partnership anymore and I never recommend it for my clients. LLC or a corporation is the way to go. Research both and/or...
