The real tragedy is that, had the makers and sellers of asbestos products only supplied adequate warnings of the dangers surrounding asbestos exposure, there would have been fewer cases of sickness and death. Since the asbestos marketers couldn’t be bothered with taking so simple an action, it falls to us at Weitz & Luxenberg to try to make things right for the innocent people who’ve been harmed.

James S. Thompson draws upon his exhaustive knowledge and formidable lawyering skills as an associate attorney in our Asbestos Litigation group to help victims of mesothelioma, asbestosis and asbestos-related lung-cancer utilize the courts to obtain compensation for the costs of medical care and for lost present and future income.

Mr. Thompson — hailing from the state of New York — entered practice in 1995 by gaining admission to the bar of New Jersey (followed swiftly by admission to the bar of New York). Mr. Thompson in 1995 obtained a juris doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law; in 1991, he earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of North Carolina.
