My client was injured while driving a tractor trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, when another tractor trailer swerved to avoid debris in the road and caused a crash. My client suffered injury to his n ... eck and back, but had minimal medical treatment due to an intervening injury. The case arbitrated for $40,000.00, which was appealed. Before trial, the insurance company for the other truck only offered $20,000.00, while the uninsured carrier did not make any offer. After a four-day trial before the Union County Superior Court, the jury came back with an award of $75,000.00 for my client for his pain and suffering, as well as an additional $10,000.00 for his wife for her pain and suffering.
