Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience with Mr. Maged Hanna, from Schwartz, Hannah, Olsen & Taus
My experience with Maged Hanna, from has been extremely disappointing, and I feel compelled to share it so prospective clients know what they may be dealing with.
From my very first ...meeting with Maged Hanna, I was uncomfortable with the level of professionalism. He had never met me before, yet Mr. Hanna, during our initial meeting he made an unnecessary and inappropriate comment comparing my car to my bike, telling me that my car “seems to be worse than my bike.” I still cannot understand why an attorney would speak to a brand-new client that way during a first meeting. Regardless of how he intended the comment, it was disrespectful and completely unnecessary.
I nevertheless chose to give Mr. Maged Hanna the benefit of the doubt and continued using the office for additional legal matters, including my will. Unfortunately, my experience did not improve.
At one point, the attorney gave me his personal cell phone number. When I subsequently reached out to him by text regarding my legal matters, my messages were ignored and I received no response. I have also experienced repeated problems with communication and follow-through.
There was an issue involving communication with his secretary where I felt that what had actually occurred was subsequently portrayed very differently in correspondence from Mr. Hanna. I found the situation extremely frustrating because rather than simply addressing my concerns professionally, I felt that my account of events was being contradicted and replaced with a completely different narrative.
Most recently, I was trying to have my will amended. I was told that the cost would be $200. I responded that the fee was completely fine and that I wanted to proceed. Despite that, there was very delayed follow-up. This is an important legal document, and I should not have to repeatedly chase an attorney just to get a response after agreeing to pay the requested fee.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that I have remained respectful and cooperative throughout this entire process. I gave Mr. Maged Hanna multiple opportunities and continued to use the office even after my initial experience because I wanted to maintain a professional relationship. Unfortunately, I have experienced what I consider to be a continued pattern of rudeness, poor communication, lack of responsiveness, and failure to follow through.
I am leaving this review because I believe prospective clients deserve to know that retaining this attorney (Mr. Maged Hanna) is not simply about the legal work itself—it is also about being treated with professionalism and respect and being able to communicate with the person you are trusting with important legal matters.
Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Schwartz, Hannah, Olsen & Taus to someone who places a high value on responsiveness, professionalism, and client communication.
