Theodore Sliwinski

I originally found Ted by doing my own research online & discovered that he publishes a library of FREE legal advice & documents, which obviously took a lot of time & knowledge to provide. Evidently he does this as a service to the community which I found compelling. Ted represented me during divor...ce mediation and divorce proceedings & did so with total professionalism & expert legal representation. His services were affordable & he did not charge me for every phone call motion review like I have experienced with other lawyers. I have since retained Ted's services for several legal needs and he has handled them all to my satisfaction. I consider Ted Swilinski to be a salt of the earth human being & would recommend him to anyone looking for legal representation in any of his areas of expertise.

I live in Texas and needed Ted to help me navigate through Revocable Trust issues with three siblings who live in New Jersey and were not following the rules of the Trust. I met with Ted in New Jersey twice. What impressed me most was his measured and conciliatory approach to a volatile family situat...ion. With his expertise and willingness to work with me, my siblings eventually bought out my share of the Trust within two years' time.

I worked with Mr. Sliwinski to handle the emancipation of my child. I was informed of the options by Ted and offered various alternative that would cost different amounts which I appreciated. Ted explained to me that an easier and less expensive way of retiring my children from receiving child support payments was to craft an Emancipation Event form which is given directly to the Judge. As each of my children achieved their emancipation status, based on the rules set forth in my divorce ...decree, Ted filed these Emancipation Events with the courts saving me; 1) from showing up in court and 2) thousands of dollars of needless expense. Ted is a great guy to asks question of and use as a sounding board and I recommend him highly.

I would start by saying I would recommend Mr. Sliwinski in a heartbeat! I first met Mr. Sliwinski through a recommendation for him to handle my bankruptcy. When he found out I had just finished mediation for my divorce, he asked if he could review the draft of my settlement agreement. I said of cour...se and let me tell you, it was the best thing I ever did. Mr. Sliwinski is now handling both of my cases. After seeing the draft of my settlement, he said there is no way ANY attorney should allow me to settle for what I was planning to (no alimony, for one thing). He went on to explain to me exactly what I was entitled to. I was shocked. He also explained to me that he had met too many women who just wanted out of their marriage and settled for next to nothing. Within six months to a year, they wind up broke and living off the government. From that moment on, I knew I had found a great attorney. With that being said, if you are planning on getting a divorce, seek out Mr. Sliwinski, he will tell you exactly what you are entitled to! Even with all my research, I learned more from Mr. Sliwinski than the internet could have ever taught me. We are currently working both cases simultaneously. It is not an easy task, however Mr. Sliwinski handles it very well. It probably isn't easy for any attorney to handle an irate soon to be ex-wife whose soon to be ex-husband seems to drag his feet at every move. Mr. Sliwinski handles himself professionally at all times, knowing how to speak to the opposing attorney with class and professionalism. Mr. Sliwinski has guided me every step of the way. I remember Mr. Sliwinski's reaction when I started getting into the details of who paid for what during our marriage (I paid for everything and am now broke - hence the bankruptcy), his jaw dropped. He knew he had to make it right for me. So, even though going through the courts for my divorce instead of mediation is a longer process, in the end, I know I will have made the right move in choosing Mr. Sliwinski as my attorney. His compassion and dedication for what he does shows in every conversation we have. He is extremely likable, easy to talk with, makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk through his door. He is an all around great guy and I would recommend him to any one seeking to file for divorce or bankruptcy.
