Hired Ms. Thompson to represent me in a divorce case. A custody fight was most likely going to take place. We spoke about this in our first meeting and she quoted an approximate amount that this would cost. When she found out how much I would possibly be getting in the divorce - the amount she the...n quoted me for the custody case was the exact amount I was due to receive - a difference of $45,000 from the original quote. She also mentioned that if money was no object that I had a good chance of winning. Who is money not an object for?!?! I felt like her effort and ability depended on how much she was getting paid. I also do not think it was looking out for my best interest by suggesting that she'd take ever dime I was getting from the divorce - money I need to start a new life w/ my son. I ended up firing her and hiring another lawyer. She was my attorney for 3 months and got nothing done. I would also note she does not follow up and if I did not follow up w/ her I received no information on my case. She successfully wasted my time and money and that's about it. Find another attorney!
