"IF YOUR CLIENT COMES FIRST, SUCCESS WILL FOLLOW."
My parents came to this country with the clothes on their backs and nothing else after they were forced to flee the Soviet occupation of their homeland Estonia. Despite their initial hardships, they built a highly successful mason contracting business in New Jersey. They instilled in me a profound feeling of gratitude for all the blessings that freedom provides in this wonderful country of ours and a deep respect for the true value of hard work in all walks of life.
I am extremely proud of the skills that I have acquired in the construction industry and enjoy pointing out with pride the many projects that I have built around the Jersey Shore. Being a trial attorney is equally rewarding. Whether it is my representation of the "Tiger Lady" that drew worldwide media attention or complex commercial litigation where tens of millions of dollars are at stake, I can’t think of a more exciting field of endeavor. As a trial attorney, I have demonstrated a sufficient level of experience, education, knowledge and skill for which I have been granted by the New Jersey Supreme Court the designation of certified civil trial attorney. Of the 70,000 attorneys in New Jersey, less than 1,200 are granted the certified civil trial attorney designation and of those only 32 are located within Ocean County.
I am a member of numerous civic organizations, serve on the boards of several charitable foundations and am very proud to continue to give back to the communities where I reside and serve. I am a past president and Paul Harris Fellow of the Lakewood Rotary Club. In addition to speaking Estonian fluently, I was the youngest ever president of the Lakewood Estonian Association. Currently, I am the president of my church counsel. For ten years, I was an adjunct professor at Georgian Court University teaching business law. As a lawyer, I was honored as young lawyer of the year by the Ocean County Bar Association and eventually served as its’ president from 2005 - 2006. I have served as an early settlement panelist for over 25 years and have sat on the Ocean County District III Ethics Committee. My peers have ranked me with an AV Peer Review Rating, the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell and I have also been named as a "Super Lawyer."
Like a warrior going into battle, a trial attorney needs the support of a team in order to be successful. That is why I am so proud to be a member of the team at Carluccio, Leone, Dimon, Doyle & Sacks, LLC, as they share my vision of what it takes to be a good lawyer. Their devotion to excellence bolstered by a strong organization with an unparalleled depth of experience and talent contributes to the tools and support I need to wage an effective campaign for my clients. Besides battling in the court room, I enjoy outdoor activities including skiing and golfing. While attending Syracuse University, I was on the varsity ski team where I earned several letters and remain a member of the Varsity Club today. I have been fortunate to pass my passion for skiing on to all four of my sons who are all accomplished skiers.

"Prior to working with Valter at our current firm, Valter was an adversary of mine on family law matters. He is a diligent advocate for his clients, makes coherent arguments, and has the respect of judges around the state. I highly endorse him."
