Janine Danks Fox, a Partner in the Family Law Department, joined the practice in September of 2000. For nearly 20 years, Janine has practiced exclusively in the area of family law and has handled countless family law matters during her tenure at the firm. Janine handles all aspects of divorce litigation, including, custody, parenting time, alimony, child support and equitable distribution issues. Janine also has significant experience handling numerous post judgment divorce matters that may arise such as modification of support obligations due to retirement, decline in income or cohabitation. Janine also handles pre-nuptial agreements, adoptions and guardianships.
Janine is active in the practice of alternative dispute resolution by attempting to resolve disputes through the mediation and arbitration process. Janine recently completed specialized training through the New Jersey State Bar Association to become a Court approved mediator and to mediate family law disputes privately.
In 2018, Janine was appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to serve on the District VII Ethics Committee to investigate and offer a recommendation as to ethics complaints filed against New Jersey attorneys.
Janine was recognized by her peers in the New Jersey legal community and was included in the list of New Jersey Super Lawyers “Rising Stars”, issued by Thomson Reuters, from 2006-2011 (top 2.5% of lawyers under 40 or practicing less than 10 years). Janine was also selected to serve as a panelist for the Mercer County and Burlington County Early Settlement Programs to provide recommendations for settling litigated divorce cases.
Prior to joining the firm, Janine served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Maryann K. Bielamowicz, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part in Mercer County from September of 1999 until August of 2000. While serving as a law clerk, Janine worked very closely with Family Part Judges serving as a mediator to resolve custody, parenting time and child support issues.
Janine was admitted to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania State Bars in 1999, as well as the U.S. District Court of New Jersey in 1999. In 2018, Janine was admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Janine is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Mercer County and Burlington County Bar Associations.
Janine received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the New England School of Law in 1999 where she was a member of the New England Law Review. Prior to entering law school, Janine attended Oxford University in Oxford, England where she participated in a Pre-Law Program. Janine received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from The Ohio State University in 1995.
Janine is a lifetime resident of New Jersey and resides in Burlington County, New Jersey with her husband and two children.
