His knowledge and drive is unmatched

We were first made aware of Ray Barson back in 2005 when he was representing the buyers of a home we were selling. Anyone who knew anything about real estate knew the name "Ray Barson" and made the same comment, “He’s the best real estate attorney in the state.” After the closing, we never forgot h...ow thorough and knowledgeable Ray had been, so needless to say, we immediately requested his services when selling our next home in 2019. Even with all the clients he serves and other responsibilities and positions he holds, Ray still gave us the time and attention we needed and managed to exceed our expectations. He made the process very easy, immediately gathered all the information critical to doing so, and had a great sense of humor, always keeping things light. Almost every time I called, he picked up – there was only one instance when he was in a session where he couldn’t answer the phone and he called back shortly thereafter. Most importantly, in our case, we were moving across the country and the closing on our next home would be right after the closing of our NJ home. In addition to needing all transactions to take place in a timely manner, we needed to do a remote closing. He clearly understood the urgency and complexity and it was very reassuring to have someone like Ray who made sure everything happened in a timely manner. It was such a pleasure any time I did a call or met with Ray that I can honestly say I’ll miss working with him.

Goes the extra mile, consistently

Ray is an old-school, small-town real estate lawyer who is extraordinarily thorough, empathetic and generous with his time. I recently needed a copy of a site survey for a house -- for which he handled the sale seven years ago -- and he contacted the survey company and forwarded me the report without... charge. That's just an example of his willingness to go the extra mile on a consistent basis.

Excellent real estate attorney. Only person fighting our corner!

We used Ray to purchase our house in Skillman, new Jersey. Ray is very energetic and very responsive. You can always get hold of him and he seems to have his clients interests at heart rather than the need to make a quick buck. His $900 fee is very reasonable and he is very effective at sorting opini...on from fact and really understanding your needs as a client. He is very diligent, experienced and managed to get us $1,500 back for some septic work that needed doing, easily making back the $900 we paid him. We felt that Ray was the only one fighting our side and recommend him highly.
