My ex and I divorced amicably after a several decade marriage that resulted in 3 beautiful children. We made our own agreement and filed with the divorce center. Before the ink was dry, he was remarried 9 months later. He had the attitude of a new wife/new life. He immediately added his wife to his b...ank accounts but was not added to hers. He stopped paying his spousal and child support obligation, transferred all his assets into his new wife's name, closed his bank accounts and began hiding his money under the protected cover of his new wife's name. I was unable to levy his bank accounts because she was not a named party in the case. I also could not garnish his wages because he was a 1099 employee. With no exaggeration we were in court Pro-Se, every 6-8 weeks for YEARS! I wanted him to be forced to pay and he wanted his support obligations to be terminated! By God's grace Ms. Marinucci listened to my never ending battle for justice. With patience, compassion, professionalism and understanding my frustration, she took my case out of my hands and into hers. What a relief to not have to stand alone in the courtroom again. She explained to the court just how unfair and underhanded my ex was being and that without the court adding his wife to my case, this would never end. She was successful! The judge granted Ms. Marinucci's request to add his wife to my case so we could further investigate his/their assets and possibly make her additionally responsible for the support obligations since she was controlling the money. This was unheard of and the first in our county court system. Divorce can be hard. I felt stuck with my personal life because I was always preparing for the next court date. I also felt guilty that I did not spend as much time with my children as I would have liked to. I wanted to be giving them extra love and attention to assure them that we would be okay instead of preparing court documents to file. He has since been making payments and we have stayed out of the courtroom for almost 2 years now! I am sure the court staff is just as happy as I am! I was finally able to get my own personal life moving in a forward direction since Ms. Marinucci's involvement in my case. I know without a doubt that this would not be possible without her!
