My spouse hired this lawyer and filed for bankruptcy on his own, we were going to separate. All the credit cards were listed in the bankruptcy including the two joint cards. The bankruptcy was discharged in 2012, however my credit report shows the accounts as charged off. I have just learned that the...y now are coming after me even though I do not work. This lawyer never told my husband that this could happen and my credit is now ruined & have been turned down for a job that required using a company credit card because of this. I am beyond furious & frustrated and feeling trapped in this situation. Even if I file for divorce, it will still be on my credit for 7 yrs ruining my chances of a new start. Now I will be forced to file bankruptcy as well. Separate from that, this lawyer was very poor about returning phone calls and providing information. My husband constantly had to ask questions to get specific information. And when the discharge papers came, they were not specific to what debits were discharged. We are still waiting for him to call us back to find out if the two accounts were included & other mistakes made to husband's credit report and that was months ago.
