do not waste your money

first of all mr. powell's office staff are rude, ignorant and do not do their job! secondly, the same goes for mr. powell! for 2 yrs. my son went back and forth to court, was offered a plea bargain which mr. powell told him not to take that we would go to trial although only telling us my son's chanc...es at trial were 50/50. there were tapes of my sons interview with detectives as there were tapes of the so-called "victim's" interview which we assumed mr. powell had watched but when we requested to see them they didn't even work so months later we finally got o see them and then also there were facebook msgs between my son and the so-called "victim" which you would think after 2 yrs. and a lot of money mr. powell would have looked at but when we met in court in a private room to view them , mr. powell had never seen them. he has a failure to communicate with his clients, he postponed a court date without ever notifying my son and my son was arrested for failure to appear and held in jail for the wk. end missing work and almost losing his job. infact, my son was jailed 3 times in this 2 yr. period for reasons that I feel were more mr. powel's fault than my sons. so after 2 yrs. of being told to go to trial , then in the last few months basically yelling at my son to make a decision ...trial or plea bargain the last day we have court to give them his decision mr. powell says take the plea or they're going to fry you! what? first of all my son was and is innocent of his charges, mr. powell never acted like he was there to fight for my son. unreturned phone calls, while my son was in jail mr. powell did not do what he promised he would to get him out. I could go on and on but just wanted to warn people not to trust your freedom to mr. powell. my son did take the plea, and is now on 5 yrs. probation and megan's law for something he was innocent of . even the victim told mr. powell and the detectives that my son was innocent of these charges.
