Micah U. Buchdahl

I am an attorney focused on assisting law firms with business development initiatives. I am a past chair of the American Bar Association’s Law Practice Management Section. Based inMoorestown,New Jersey, I am president of HTMLawyers, Inc., a law marketing consultancy.

I draw vision and ideas from a well of career experience--working in the Philadelphia Municipal Court as a mediator and arbitrator; formerly associate corporate counsel with the Philadelphia Flyers and Spectacor; and director of NBA Photos, a marketing division of the National Basketball Association.

Known for my ethics counsel as it pertains to law marketing & advertising issues and compliance, I advise law firms throughout the country on these issues—both in initiating preventive measures and reacting to state bar disciplinary matters.

I have taught the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s annual marketing ethics CLE for more than a decade. I have also presented this course on behalf of the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association and numerous state and local bars. I was on the planning board of the ABA’s New Partner Conference (March 2012) and chaired the ABA Law Firm Marketing Strategies Conference (November 2011).

Prior to law school, I worked in marketing and public relations functions within the National Hockey League and Major Indoor Soccer League. I also served as a journalist for The Baltimore Sun. I attendedTempleUniversity both as an undergraduate (B.A., journalism, magna cum laude, 1985) and later forLawSchool (J.D., Dean's List, class president, 1991). I am admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.
