Excellent Education Attorney

We hired Rob to represent our family in an education case. As soon as Rob took over, I was able to relax knowing he would fight for our son like his own! Rob was always available to answer all my questions and many concerns. He was professional, empathetic, informative and extremely transparent th...roughout the process. Rob was able to quickly resolve the case in our favor which I will forever be grateful for. He was our saving grace during a very difficult time. I highly recommend Morello Law Firm!

Transfer of Schools

This case is about Harassment Intimidation and Bullying (HIB) regarding my son and another student who was a teammate of his. This began in November, 2017. The school conducted a cursory HIB investigation and in an effort to dismiss the case, found in favor of the bully. During the investigation, wh...ich began during the third week of December, the school was not willing to do anything about the actions of the other student, I removed my son from that school and placed him in another school but only for a few weeks. From an academic standpoint, it was not going to work out at the new school so he had to return to the school he was attending. Upon completion of the HIB investigation and finding the other student not guilty of bullying, this enabled this student to have free reign to get away with even further bullying of my son knowing the school wasn't going to do a thing about it. I met with Rob Morello in April, 2018 to discuss the case. My son during the first semester in school was a high honor roll student and leader. His grades at this point had dropped to C's. The coaches from the team had sided with the bully and would not speak with my son. My son's outlook had become bleak and on many occasions, he said he was in a dark place. Rob Morello first sought out a child psychologist who could help my son deal with his feelings. In the best interests of my son, we decided a transfer to the other high school in the same town we live in was the only solution. Rob prepared a file of documents containing evidence that indeed PROVED my son was bullied. He also gathered school records with my son's IEP information and a letter from the psychologist revealing the psychological impact the bullying had on my son and called together a meeting with the Board of Education. At this meeting, he passed around 8 1/2 x 11 photos of PROOF of the bullying. He discussed my son's IEP, the psychological damage my son sustained from the bullying, school policy, and the transfer. After numerous meetings and tests conducted by the school over the summer, the transfer was granted in mid August. The only thing I would have done differently in all of this was I should have hired Rob when all of this began in November, certainly at the time I filed the report for Harassment Intimidation and Bullying HIB. I believe without a doubt my son would not have had to suffer and be humiliated like this and be put through all he had to be put through. Once Rob took over, the Administration listened to what he had to say, his letters were very professional, strong and to the point. I was no longer getting kicked to the curb. I had their full attention, thanks to Rob. THIS TRANSFER WOULD NOT HAVE TAKEN PLACE HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR ROB MORELLO. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM AND THE SERVICES HE PROVIDES.
