Ironworker, 42, was walking on a jobsite when he was struck across the right shoulder by a 15' scaffolding plank that had fallen from 2 stories above. He was knocked unconscious and sustained a torn sh ... oulder rotator cuff tear. He returned to work after some time but overused his left arm to compensate for the lost strength in the right shoulder. This caused a left torn rotator cuff. Substantial permanent disability was established, and a negligence claim was filed against the contractor whose employees caused the plank to falll.
