Rebecca Jill Peskin

Although I did not grow up in New Jersey, I am very happy with my decision to settle in the Garden State and to pursue a career as a Divorce and Family Law Attorney.

I attended law school at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where I discovered my passion for family law through various coursework, including a semester-long divorce trial simulation. While at Emory, I also participated in internship opportunities at the Georgia Innocence Project and the United States Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights, and spent my summers working for small firms in Atlanta and in my hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts.

After I earned my Law Degree in 2012, I was chosen to serve as Law Clerk to New Jersey Family Court Judge Barry A. Weisberg. When Judge Weisberg was transferred to the Civil Division mid-way through my Clerkship, I remained in the Family Division to serve as Law Clerk to newly-appointed Judge Christopher D. Rafano.

I joined Salvaggio Law Group in 2013. I am a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, The Morris County Bar Association, and the Union County Bar Association. I serve as a volunteer attorney at the Linda and Rudy Slucker Center for Women in Livingston, and am the founder of Yoga and Meditation for People Dealing with Divorce.
