We are small business in NJ and we hired him for a contract related dispute based on our other attorney's recommendation but unfortunately we learn his true personality during the middle of trial. He comes across as a good human being and very knowledgeable but unfortunately he lacks will, skills, ex...perience and knowledge to trial the case. We learned very late in the case his tactic of preparing the case in great detail and racking up the huge legal fee but settle the case at the last moment so he does not have to trial the case. If you disagree with him then he’ll literally bully you (two days before trial) to settle case otherwise he will ask the court to relieve him as our attorney. We asked him to settle case very early on when other party was ready to settle, he literally prevented us and start preparing for the trial; even during the trial preparation other party came to settle and we ask him to get the further terms of settlement few times but somehow he ignored our requests and continue on trial preparation (and continue billing the trial prep hours) but at the trial he is forcing us to settle the claim when we see the clear advantage over the other party. We always paid him in advanced and he always had our retainer money. May be his methodology is to get as much fee you in the preparation (make you believe that you are going go for the real trial) and (not to settle at earlier stage but) settle at the last moment irrespective of client’s loss or gain. Unfortunately, we really had very poor experience and regret that we could have done better homework before hiring him.
