I have been a member of the New Jersey Bar since 1967. I have been chairman of The Employment Law Council Inc. and I have had extensive experience in the fields of disability insurance, employment law, commercial litigation and health law. My experience in litigation includes representing physicians before The State Board of Medical Examiners, defending against various claims including defending medical malpractice claims, and handling insurance coverage and employment law matters.
I am an active member of The Health and Hospital Law Section of The New Jersey State Bar Association and of The End of Life Task Force of the Bar Association.
I am a member of The Corporate Partners Program of The Medical Society of New Jersey (MSNJ) and I have had a relationship with MSNJ since 1997.
More recently I have been approved to participate in an Employment Contract Review Program instituted by the Medical Society of New Jersey in 2014. This program is intended to benefit doctors who are employed by hospitals and groups.
I am a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Medicine and Public Health-New Jersey (IOMPH-NJ).
I have lectured on numerous subjects involving insurance, such as examinations under oath, medical insurance fraud, fraudulent claims arising from low-speed impacts and “bad faith.” I have also conducted seminars involving employment law, such as defending wrongful discharge and privacy rights. On multiple occasions I have conducted seminars on employment law subjects for Lorman Education Services and for The Medical Society of New Jersey. On insurance law subjects I have provided seminars on behalf of Sun Life, Employers Reinsurance Corporation and Munich American Reassurance Company, as well as at the International Claims Association and the Eastern Claims Conference. I am a member of The New Jersey State Bar Association and The Morris County Bar Association.
I have been counsel for an insurer respecting the investigation of hundreds of suspected fraudulent claims. I have been a consultant to disability carriers respecting the investigation of suspicious claims and the utilization of examinations under oath to combat fraud.
I am an active member of the American Society of Medical Association Counsel (ASMAC).
I have represented, or am representing, the Medical Staff at St. Peters University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey and the Medical/Dental Staff at Chilton Hospital in Pompton Plains, New Jersey and the Medical Staff of the Memorial Hospital of Salem County.
