Additionally, I aggressively represent clients in local municipal courts(for DWI, traffic violations, simple assault, drug possession and neighbordisputes), and handle serious criminal matters and domestic violence cases.
Should you needlegal counsel in any of those areas, I invite you to contact me today for a consultation at my offices. If you need legal advice, you should seek theassistance of legal counsel (a lawyer/attorney) immediately; generallyspeaking, the law punishes those who sit on their rights. Before makingyour choice of attorney, you should give this matter careful thought. Theselection of an attorney is an important decision.
I have extensivecivil litigation experience at the Federal and State level, having devoted morethan a substantial portion of my professional time toward the preparation andtrial and all matters litigated. I have appeared for trial in alltwenty-one (21) of New Jersey’s County Superior Courts.
I was born and raised in West Orange (Essex County). A 1989 graduate of The PingrySchool in Martinsville, New Jersey, I was graduated from GeorgetownUniversity in 1993, with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and a Minor inPsychology. Most notably, as a Hoya, I was Georgetown’s official mascot,“Jack the Bulldog” from 1990 to 1993.
I obtained my JurisDoctor degree from the Seton Hall University School of Law in 1997, where I served as a Member and Book Review Editor of the Seton Hall Law Review. Additionally, I was the research assistant to Professor E. Judson Jennings, helping him to pen the Jennings and Weissenberger New Jersey Evidence CourtroomManual; this manual is still widely used by litigators across the State.
Enjoying admission topractice in New Jersey, I may also appear before the United States DistrictCourt for the District of New Jersey. I am a member of the SussexCounty, New Jersey State, and American Bar Associations.
I began my legalcareer “in the trenches” from the start. Sworn in by the Honorable CarolFerentz, J.S.C. (retired) first thing in the early morning on the day I waslicensed, I made my second appearance “on the record” at a deposition lateron in the afternoon.
As a young attorney, I primarily served as defense counsel to large insurance company’s insureds, handling primarily auto accidents and premises liability matters. At thattime, my work also brought me to the municipal level, as I representedAbercrombie & Fitch privately prosecuting shoplifters in their Menlo ParkMall location.
I tried my firstjury trial before the anniversary of my first year in the practice.
Later, I wouldventure into the commercial litigation realm, representing large companies in avariety of litigated and transactional matters. Returning again to theinsurance industry, I joined the Nationwide Insurance Trial Division andrepresented Nationwide, Scottsdale, Allied, and National Casualty insureds invarying general liability and transportation defense cases. While withNationwide Trial Division, I handled wrongful death actions, slip-and-falls,construction defect cases, products liability matters, and standard autoaccident defense. I successfully brought a number of those matters toconclusion at trials before juries of up to eight (8) panelists.
I have also handledmany aspects of complex commercial litigation matters in the health care fieldat the State and Federal level. Additionally, I participated at MedicalBoard hearings, guardianship proceedings, and in criminal court defendingclaims brought on behalf of, or against, medical doctors in the course of theirpractice.
More recently, I have focused my practice on plaintiff’s personal injury lawsuits with particularemphasis on medical and dental malpractice actions, commercial/business matters(litigation and transactional), employment suits, and Federal and State FalseClaims Act/Whistleblower cases. I also represent clients in localmunicipal courts for DWI, traffic violations, simple assault, drug possessionand neighbor disputes. I handle more serious criminal matters anddomestic violence cases, as well. In these areas, I now fight forindividual clients who need representation to ensure that their rights areprotected.

Too Small for Difficult Case
One-man firm, too small for difficult, intense case. Attorney did not provide medical expert witness with medical file (900+/- pages) in attempt to obtain Affidavit of Merit, until being in possession of records for approx. 16 months. Medical "expert" provided email only WITHIN 48 HOURS OF RECEIVING...
I am not certain that this was a client because the post-er is anonymous. Not knowing, but guessing, I will say that the "medical expert" in question, a well seasoned doctor, absolutely had all records and also had a detailed synopsis from a reputable Medical Records firm. The doctor couldn't provide an Affidavit of Merit because he believed that there was no case in medical malpractice. Sometimes that happens. Not all treatment issues patients endure in hospitals rise to the level of malpractice. If this is the same case I'm thinking of, the Plaintiff, my client, was a heavy cigarette smoker most of his adult life and the complications experienced in the hospital the doctor believed were tangential to significant damage to his respiratory tract due to the smoking, and not a deviation from accepted standards of medicine by any treating doctor -- no malpractice.
