I would NOT recommend Tom as an attorney. He dealt with a contentious custody issue for me and, in my view, clearly failed in his duties as an attorney for the following reasons: 1. He went off on paternity leave without doing the time sensitive work I had engaged him to do. As a result, upon his... return, he had to do a last minute “day before job on the papers”. This resulted in factual errors and bad drafting which I had to spend hours correcting. I actually had to mark up the errors on the document myself to show him what he missed. He also failed to properly amend wording in an agreement which would have resulted in major provisions of the agreement still being in tact as opposed to amended. 2. He failed to communicate the amount of work involved when I had my first call with him. 3. He failed to be a negotiator. Anytime he got a proposal from the defendants attorney, he wanted to accept it. He failed to push for a reasonable settlement for me. It was obvious he wanted to keep the defendants attorney happy and get my file off his desk. He didn’t even attempt to argue important issues. He seemed very bias. 4. Very unorganized for an attorney. Stay away from this attorney if you want good, strong and proper legal representation.
