I hired Doug expecting competent legal representation but was deeply disappointed by his performance and professionalism. Throughout the engagement, it became increasingly clear that he lacked independent judgment and was merely following instructions from others—never advocating assertively on my be...half. He came across more as an assistant than an attorney, seemingly deferring to others without offering original insight or leadership. In terms of conduct, his appearance and demeanor were unprofessional, and I often felt like my case was an afterthought. He missed key details, was disorganized in communication, and gave little confidence that he had control over the process. It felt as though his role at his former firm may have been more about fetching coffee than providing serious legal work. I would not recommend Doug to anyone seeking strong, competent, or proactive legal counsel.
