If your employer is subject to FMLA, then they must keep your job open for 12 weeks. After 12 weeks there no longer obliged to keep your job open...

Get the promises in writing and signed by the debtor. Do not permit a relative to act as a notary or witness of any kind. Best to consult a lawyer.

If you signed the release, then a motion to enforce the settlement is proper. If no signed release, then sign the release so that you can get paid.
