Great Outcome, Fairly Priced, Cares About People
Curtis successfully represented me in a complex divorce (difficult custody issues; multiple businesses, real estate and retirement accounts). We settled without a court battle. He approached everything with utmost professionalism, kindness and sensitive to my teenager's needs and choices. Well worth the fees.

I got good results from him
The sheriff's officers or bailiffs, whatever they are called all knew him and liked him. I got a really good results. He doesn't do anything that doesn't help his clients. I am fairly certain of that.

He has good communication skill sets
The judge took all of his suggestions as to how to move the case along with experts and others. He has a lot of uncommon sense that people find refreshing. I came to him because i was looking for a bulldog He showed me a different way to get things done. He told me it's more effective to keep the sword in its scabbard than to wield it. He was right. Everyone knows he has a deep source of knowledge and it can be very intimidating and he can toss out legal authority like nobody's business. He lives this stuff. If you would like to feel protected and confident, you should consider hiring him.

He is a good leader
I really couldn't be happier with his services. He was extremely efficient, approachable and friendly . My ex and the other lawyer ended up liking him. After a time, all he had to do was ask. I don't mind if they read this since everyone walked away satisfied. He was a really good leader and helped us to settle very quickly.

He is just awesome.
Curt told me what i could reasonably expect, He was being quite frank, but it wasn't what i wanted to hear. I hired someone else who just blew a lot of smoke my way, and things pretty much turned out the way Curt thought they probably would. It cost me a lot going after goals that were not realistic. I should have gone with him from the get-go.

He Made Everything Quick!
He stayed in a remote county for him well into the night, just so that I wouldn't have to be without my child for another month. The judge had to drive him to his car because the tram was shut down. He doesn't care much about his own convenience when it comes to his clients if his behavior with me was any indication.

He is great and smart with his job.
We used a fiscal expert to help with our case. He was amazing mediation with fiscal expert. He was much smarter than the other lawyer in this area.

He worked very efficiently
The cost of his excellent representation were not as high as one would expect them to be, given his extensive experience, background and excellent track record. The lawyers i spoke to or investigated having similar credentials, had a much higher hourly rate. Curt worked very efficiently and knew off the top of his head legal facts that others, I'm sure, Would have had to research. Curt is a walking encyclopedia.

He’s a genius.
We had what was supposed to be a four day hearing on remand from the appellate division. Curt was my second lawyer. It ended up going about 12 days. He turned things around for me because he was so good in the court room. He’s a genius.

Good Guy and Talent
A number of people where I work hired Curt. I think I was the first. We were both former USN officers. My wife’s lawyer was a bit of an a**. We have a boatload of 4 kids and my wife and her lifestyle would not have been good for them. Curt settled the whole thing at our esp and that was that. We are very happy. The other lawyer did nothing but collect a fee from my ex. It’s good to have the good guy.

He is very smart
hired Curtis to do our divorce. My husband didn’t want to hire an attorney. Curtis represented me and pursuant to my husband’s wishes, he came to all the office sessions. Curtis didn’t mediate our divorce, but explained the terms of agreement and fine-tuned them based on our agreements to compromise. The divorce was done in record time and we were both satisfied with the way things turned out.

Too Great !!!
He did great for me. One of his then associates was handling my case but Curt was my designated trial lawyer. He took it in hand and settled it on the first day of trial. There were some sticking points after that, but he fixed those too.

Outstanding
He handled a horrendous case for me from soup to nuts. It started with a domestic violence case brought against me by my wife, after she learned that I wanted a divorce. Curt made that go away, then she made another complaint. Curt had her in the cross-hairs for a frivolous complaint sanction, and that went away the morning of trial as well. He took me all the way through my divorce and me and our kids came out on top.

Best in the business!
I am a woman and was the primary breadwinner for my bum of a husband. I even tried to set him up in his own business and he ended up being a stay at home drunk and game show fan. His attorney took the usual approach that we had a mid-length marriage and I made much more income than the bum. Curt briefed that out thoroughly and we were able to settle, reluctantly at his end.

Would Recommend
I have five kids. Mine was a Morris County case. It went to trial. My wife hired who she thought was a top attorney and he has been around for quite some time. The judge was very stern but very responsive to Mr. Romanowski’s technical arguments. By the time the trial was over, Mr. Romanowski had the walls papered with flip chart segments of testimony that helped me again and again. He destroyed my wife’s employability witness, but the judge had a bad experience with ours in the past, so that didn’t go well. We had a huge win. The other lawyer had some sort of computer readout that was an alimony program and Mr. Romanowski objected to it as hearsay and the judge agreed. The other guy didn’t know what to do at that point because it was so unexpected. At the conclusion, Mr. Romanowski told the judge that he didn’t have much of a closing statement because the judge was obviously following along. On the other hand, my wife’s lawyer insisted on reading from a prewritten statement that took him over 45 minutes on a Friday to read. Amateur vs Professional. Adversary actually complained that there was no video in the courtroom we ended up in because he wanted to show his scripted closing argument to his girlfriend. He had to be in his late 60s at the time.

Fantastic work
I was in NYC for 911. It traumatized me for quite some time. Curtis was my second lawyer. My wife’s lawyers were notorious over billers. Curtis wanted to get on the case, but needed extra time for me to comply with discovery, since my prior attorneys didn’t bother to send it my way. The lawyer said she would vacate the default and give me time to answer their questions, only if I would stipulate to the terms of a pre-nup I signed but didn’t agree to. Curtis told her to go fly a kite. She said it took her a whole lot of hours to apply for the default and wanted attorney’s fees for that. Curtis filed a cross-motion where he personally certified that it only took him a few minutes to compose and prepare a request for a default in a matter of minutes. The judge agreed that my wife’s lawyer was out of bounds and that ultimately resulted in a good settlement of my case because the judge felt my wife’s lawyer was full of hot air.

He did a great job for me.
My ex was a lawyer at a big firm representing himself. He was a big pain for Curtis since he was essentially working for free. He brought the head of the family division with him to the hearing. Curtis objected since he wasn’t even an attorney of record. The judge let the family lawyer argue anyway. Curtis’s argument was better anyway and he did a great job for me.

Thanks
I came into his office with a complaint I put together myself and it had all the details of the settlement in it. I told him that my wife was going to agree to everything in it. He said that is hardly ever the case. When my wife obtained a lawyer, the lawyer said it was in no way acceptable. We had a settlement conference in Curt’s office and we ironed everything out with some give and take. Both my wife and her lawyer liked and respected Curt’s take on things. I didn’t get everything I was pitching in my complaint, but it was still fair and good for my kids.

Great Person
I was one of Curt’s first NJ clients. I made some major mistakes and ended up with an unwanted divorce. He was very encouraging and I got good results, apart from being divorced which was my fault.
