STAY AWAY !

Would call me on Sundays to talk about my case, and charge a premium. Showed up at the final hearing stinking from alcohol and behaving in a most embarrasing way. DO NOT USE THIS PERSON !!

You have been warned

You have been warned. I Gave Curtis $8500 retainer. After that I never heard from him. He never answered calls. I had to file a police report. That’s how I got my retainer back.

Posted by Corina | July 21, 2021 | Hired Attorney | Ethics & Professional Responsibility

Beware of these good reviews!

A simple search of public records in google will reveal what a scam artist this guy is. I paid Mr. Romanowski a $6000 retainer in 2016. He then disappeared and I was left with no attorney and a much lighter bank account. I just received notice from the Office of Attorney Ethics that he has been 'a...dmonished' as a result of my, (and, perhaps other?) complaint(s) filed with them in 2017. That outcome is unsatisfactory to me and I will continue to pursue other avenues to recoup my loss, though this seems less and less likely. I feel compelled to warn others, however. I am just one story. There are many. I have read many more. No idea where the good reviews on here come from. Perhaps he occasionally fulfills his obligations? I don't know. I suspect he either writes them himself or has hired someone to do this. If you like gambling, maybe this is your guy. If you, like me, have worked hard for your money and don't care to gift it to shysters like Mr. Romanowski, go elsewhere. As always, I have ample documentation should anyone need it.

All negative comments about Romanowski

I was explaining my case to Curtis, he asked questions I gave him answers. I have a complicated family case. Rather than saying thanks but no thanks, he cuts me off mid sentence and says "this is a bucket of blood" and hangs up. How unprofessional can you get. I can only imagine what this pompous... jerk must do after you sign his retainer and pay him. Glad it did not get to that point. And no, I will not put my name up, and you know we had the conversation Curtis. Only a crusty lawyer like you would use the phrase "bucket of blood"

Paid him $8,500 and he did nothing. Took money and filed for bankruptcy. I think he did not report me in the bankruptcy he filed. I had paid the money for my daughter.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline
This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2020
Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
