this lawyer was permitted in chambers and in court while suspended

This lawyer was permitted to handle a case during his suspension (2001-2002) by Judge Ellen Koblitz presiding (please refer to ratethecourts.com) reviews, and without my knowledge of his drug problem. This was a complex interstate custody case involving domestic violence. There was blatant NJ court ...collusion and corruption in our case, with the court file being left empty throughout, with decisions all being made by the judge "under the table;" in addition, the judge called to notify me of this lawyer's sudden withdrawal via phone, along with the ex and his family attorney in chambers (which is illegal) in mid-2002. He basically stole $ 10,000 +; it was possible that he used it to purchase whatever drugs he was using at the time, telling us all along that he was on chemotherapy for some "wasting disease." All the while, we witnessed our case go down the drain, not understanding why. I did not find out about his suspension and disbarment until mid-2002, and a new attorney sent me a law journal article about him. His illegal actions were unconscionable, and condoned by a judge. My advice for others seeking help is to do some research (there is a lot more available online now than was in the year 2000), and NOT to employ the services of this lawyer!
