Sunmin Park Choi

SunMin P. Choi is the founder and principal of Choi Law LLC.  She has been focusing on practicing US immigration law since 2003.  Born and grew up in South Korea, she herself went through the lengthy US immigration process.  She understands better than anyone else how important your immigration matters to you.  With her vast knowledge of complicated immigration law and innovative thinking earned from her focused legal experience on immigration law, she has been successfully assisting foreign nationals from all over the world in finding their place in America and achieving their dreams. 

Ms. Choi’s clients include the world-famous South Korean orchestras, including Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, Korea Symphony Orchestra, KBS Symphony Orchestra, entertainers and performers, KBS Open concert, CEOs in multinational companies, research scientists, professors, lawyers, social workers, language teachers, ministers, engineers, market analysts, healthcare professionals, investors and entrepreneurs, and emerging US technology companies which need to hire foreign nationals. 

Ms. Choi has also successfully represented clients in removal proceedings and helped them to secure their legal status and to continue to live with their loved ones in America. 

She handled a wide range of complex immigration matters as an associate at S. Bernard Schwarz & Associates, a NYC-based boutique immigration law firm for many years before she founded her own law firm.  She earned her JD degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, New York, NY and BA degree in English Literature from Ewha Womans University, Seoul, Korea.  She is licensed to practice law in NY and NJ. 

She is a member of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Korean American Lawyers Association in Greater New York (KALAGNY), Korean Attorneys in New York (KANY), Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY), and International Association of Korean Lawyers (IAKL).
