Use Someone Else

Horrible job...too friendly with the prosecutor and doesnt want to cause waves..he will leave you out to dry. I was sent to state prison and he never wrote back to me after sending him countless registered letters. He tells you things and doesnt follow up on them.I paid him $6,000.00 in cash and he to...ok months to fix a small problem of accumulated jail time that could and should have been fixed at the hearing.I was forced to try and fix it myself. He didnt listen to me when I wanted a bail reduction when I was sent to County jail and I ended up losing $5,000.00 there when my Mother died while I was in County Jail.I could have seen her last few months if I had gotten the bail reduction I asked him to get me which he said wasnt a good idea, yet I ended up bailing out anyways with a Bail Bondsman to bury my Mother and he made me miss her last few months. He didnt pay attention to what the Judge said and what the prosecutor did and they shorted me on jail credits. He also never gave me the judgement of conviction before I went to jail and didnt listen to me when I told him that they had not given me credit for my County jail time.He took it upon himself to say that "dont worry, the time would be adjusted and it ended up not being adjusted until I was past my parole date in State Prison. I was arrested for stalking and it was his idea for me to write a letter to the victim apologizing but the Judge and Prosecutor used that AGAINST me in my sentencing saying that this guy is still trying to contact the victim. It was ADDIS's idea, NOT MINE.The Judge and prosecutor embarassed me and made me and my lawyer look like idiots. Also in doing so the case ended up on the front page of the Bergen Record because the Judge gave me such a lecture because of this letter Addis had me write. He broke countless promises to me and wouldnt show into court when I was shackled and cuffed for entire days at a time waiting for him.He wouldnt even show up to tell me why it was cancelled. He also let the prosecutor take his sweet time in finally showing up for sentencing when he should have pushed him to either show or reduce the sentence. The prosecutor didnt show up about 6 times because he was on a murder trial which forced me to just wait for months for my sentencing.Addis told me to do about 3 months in County Jail and he would have me out....I ended up doing 4 months in County jail and 8 months in NJ State Prison.Another lie. This lawyer procrastinates on everything and acts like the prosecutor is his best friend, like he doesnt want to upset him so he gives him what he wants.I ended up staying in State prison about 4 months longer than I should have if he had fixed the County Jail credits instead of just ignoring it at the sentencing. My first Parole hearing I was given my release date but I would have gone in front of Parole 4 months earlier but because Addis did not fix the jail credits I was sitting in State Prison 4 months longer than I should have.Dont end up in the night mare I was in.He doesnt tell you the whole truth and he doesnt even know some of the laws and regulations regarding when you are up for Parole in a state sentence, etc..I was looking up statutes myself to give him the answers and he still didnt follow through..Use an attorney that isnt friends with the prosecutor and someone who will listen to you and work for YOU, not for himself. On this rating here I would rate ZERO stars if I could but you have to click at least one star on this rating or else I would not have.Just an honest warning to people out there,GET SOMEONE ELSE !!!!!! SAVE YOURSELF STRESS ,MONEY AND JAIL TIME..........
