Daniel P Mc Nerney

Daniel P. McNerney is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney who has been practicing in Bergen County for 22 years. He is particularly devoted to the fields of insurance litigation, worker''s compensation and municipal court. He is one of the few attorneys who has represented one of the 9/11 survivors Will Jimeno as seen in the film World Trade Center.   

Dan attended the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. graduating in 1984 with a B.A. in Political Science; in 1987 he received his J.D. from George Washington University. He is a member of the New Jersey Bar, the District Court of New Jersey, 3rd Circuit and United States Supreme Court and the Mohegan Tribal Bar. 

He has represented both claimants and the insurance carriers that are involved in the defense of personal injury, property damage, loss of earnings and numerous issues concerning insurance coverage. 

Dan as been appointed by the City of Hackensack, and the Boroughs of Paramus, New Milford, Cresskill and Ridgefield, N.J. as the Public Defender. In that capacity, and as a private attorney, he has counseled thousands of clients in regard to their rights as citizens who may have been wrongfully accused.

In addition to his legal responsibilities, Mr. McNerney is a member of the Board of Directors of 1st Bergen Credit Union, which is the most recent credit union to be formed in New Jersey. As the Supervising Committee chairman,  he is responsible for the overall activities of the credit union.

Dan was appointed by the New Jersey Supreme Court to District IB Fee arbitration committee and is the former chairman (2002 to 2006).

He also speaks Spanish.
