Evelyn Padin

After receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree at Rutgers University, my Master of Social Work at Fordham University, and my Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, I was admitted to the bar in 1992 and established the Law Offices of Evelyn Padin four years later. I have been able to use my skills as a bilingual lawyer to represent both English and Spanish-speaking clients, and I was the first Latina to serve as an officer of the New Jersey State Bar Association, an organization that has over 17,000 members. 

I currently serve as a Trustee of the Hudson County Bar Association of New Jersey and held the position of President of the New Jersey State Bar Association. I formerly served as a Municipal Court Judge of the City of Jersey City and as In-House Counsel for the Office of Landlord-Tenant Relations with the City of Jersey City. I'm a member of the Hispanic Bar Association and am a founding member of the Justice Virginia Long Family Inns of Court. In addition, I sit on the Family Law Executive Committee as a Representative of Hudson County for the NJ State Bar Association and serve as a panelist on many continuing legal education seminars.
